What Is Silhouette Soft

A Suture That Lifts and Rebuilds.

Silhouette Soft is an absorbable thread made of poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), the same biocompatible material used in some injectable collagen stimulators. Along its length are tiny, bidirectional cones that grip the tissue when the thread is placed beneath the skin, allowing the practitioner to gently reposition sagging tissue upward and hold it there — giving a visible lift the moment the thread is placed.

Beyond the immediate mechanical lift, the PLLA material itself stimulates the body to produce new collagen around the thread over the following months, adding a second, longer-lasting layer of improvement as the thread gradually and fully absorbs.

04

Between Injectables & Surgery

A middle option for those wanting more lift than fillers but not ready for surgery.

How It Works

The Silhouette Soft Treatment Journey.

01
Assessment & Vector Planning Dr. Kwon assesses your facial structure and plans thread number, direction and entry points for your goals.
02
Local Anaesthesia The treatment area is numbed before threads are placed, to keep the procedure comfortable.
03
Thread Placement Threads are inserted beneath the skin using a fine needle or cannula, then gently tensioned to lift the tissue into position.
04
Recovery & Collagen Building Mild swelling, bruising or tightness is common for a few days. Collagen-driven improvement continues over the following months as the threads absorb.

Silhouette Soft FAQ

Common Questions.

Is the thread lift painful?

The area is numbed with local anaesthesia beforehand, so most people describe pressure or mild discomfort rather than significant pain during placement.

How long is recovery?

Most people can return to light activities within a day or two, with any swelling or bruising typically settling within about a week.

Can I feel the threads under my skin?

Some mild awareness of tightness or the thread's presence is common in the first days to weeks, which usually settles as swelling resolves.

How long do results last?

The mechanical lift and collagen-stimulating effects together typically last around 12–18 months, though this varies by individual skin quality and lifestyle.

Can Silhouette Soft be combined with other treatments?

It's often discussed alongside energy-based devices like Ultherapy PRIME or Thermage FLX, or with volume-restoring treatments — Dr. Kwon can advise on combining treatments for your goals.

Can international patients fit this into a Seoul visit?

Yes, though allowing a few extra days for initial swelling to settle before travelling is advisable. Please share your travel dates when booking your consultation.
